Filmhouse in Edinburgh, and Belmont Filmhouse in Aberdeen are two of the few truly independent cinemas left in Scotland. We are sadly closed due to the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, and while we’re delighted to keep the spirit of our cinemas alive through Filmhouse At Home, we need your help to keep going.
Each year we bring you hundreds of wonderful films, seasons and special programmes, curating some of the most diverse film programmes in the UK. But we’re more than just great films - we’re cultural and community hubs, we support local artists and cultural partners, our education programme inspires over 10,000 school children each year, we inspire young film lovers through our Young Programmers initiative, and our Senior Selections programme brings together older audiences at risk of isolation.
We want to be there for you when we are safely able to open our doors again. We’re a registered charity who normally makes over 60% of our annual income from ticket sales and the Cafe Bar, but as you can imagine, this has been severely restricted because of the pandemic. We are so grateful for all of the love and support given to Filmhouse and Belmont Filmhouse so far, but we still need your help, and any donation would make a big difference in securing our future.

Thank you so much for your incredible support, and we hope to see you in person again soon!
